Teaser for War (The Four Horsemen #2)

Hey all! Merry Christmas and happy holidays! In honor of them, I wanted to share with you all the first mini teaser for War (The FourHorsemen #2) : Merry Christmas! Here's the first teaser for War: His eyes search my face. “You’re going to be trouble, aren’t you, wife?” He studies me some more. “Yes, definitely trouble.” War steps in closer, close enough for his leather armor to brush against me. Close enough for me to see the gold flecks in his eyes. Those eyes are terrifying. Beautiful and terrifying. “You’re wrong to think that angers me.” His smile is menacing. “Everything you are was made for me.” This arrogant bastard. I bet he thinks all humans were created for his entertainment. To fight, to fuck, to kill. The horseman reaches out and draws a finger over my collarbone, his gaze never leaving mine. “I saw you and for the first time, I wanted.” His words pucker my flesh. “And so, I took.” *** Coming spring 2019

Updates Galore

One of these days I'm going to be nice and prompt when it comes to posting, and you'll know all about my personal quirks, like my fat-ass cats, my incredibly interesting life--complete with awesome photos that catch me in the moment and show you that I'm truly living what looks like an air-brushed life. Buuuuuut, yeah, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. I can tell you that the highlight of my last week was that I binge-watched Jack Ryan and omg it was so good. Soooooo good. Oh, and I also tried to be a domestic goddess and cook tortellini. (My spawn rejected it, boo.) Other than that, I got no personal updates for you. I do, however, have several book updates! Yippee!!! I hope you'll like these! Blood and Sin Got Itself a New Cover Blood and Sin (The Infernari #1) has a new cover and I'm soooooo in love with it. KD Ritchie from Story Wrappers designed the new cover. For those of you who aren't familiar with Blood and Sin , it's

Dark Harmony (The Bargainer #3) is Now Out!

Image
Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m finally saying this, but DarkHarmony (The Bargainer #3) is now out ! You can buy the book here . If any of you have been around for a while, you’ll know that this book was supposed to come out last winter … and then it got delayed. And then it was supposed to come out this June … and it got delayed. I think altogether it took me eight or nine months to pound this sucker out. Some books flow right out of me, and others, like Dark Harmony , come out kicking and screaming. To tell you all the truth, I have no idea why it took so long to write this book. The best answer I can give you is that I wanted the end of Des and Callie’s story to be everything you hoped it would be. And it’s my deepest wish that all my blood, sweat, and tears, and all your patience was worth it in the end. I don’t know what there is to say about Des and Callie except that I love these two so very much, and I’m sad to see their story come to an end. For those who want an in-

Dark Harmony (The Bargainer #3) is Now Available for Pre-Order

Hey readers! I am so excited to tell you all that Dark Harmony (The Bargainer #3) is now available to pre-order! You can check it out here . This has been a looooooong time in coming, and I know there have been quite a few of you checking in here to see any news on it! Happy to finally give you all something concrete! The release date says October 31--please ignore that! It should definitely be out sooner. The thing is, I'm still editing the novel, and I didn't want to stress myself out trying to meet some earlier deadline. I mean, I've already delayed this thing months and months. It would be ridiculous to give you some poorly edited book after all this time. But this is all to say that the book should be out sooner! I've been getting questions about the paperback book and the audiobook. Neither of those will be available for pre-order. Both require that the book be absolutely finished (all edits made, yadda, yadda, yadda) before I can start on them. So expect i

Updates on Dark Harmony and Pestilence

Hey all! I figured it was about time I do another blog post. I know for many of you, you're checking this site weekly for any updates on Dark Harmony and dear God above, why is this post titled "updates" instead of "out now" and why oh why is Laura Thalassa such a godforsaken heathen who's left us all hanging? Uh, so yeah, one, I'm totally a heathen, and two, for those of you who have been dying a slow and agonizing death since last winter waiting for this book, you only have to wait an itsy bitsy bit longer. The book is almost complete. My fingers are crossed that I finish writing it this coming week. What happens after that? I have to slog through edits, which will hopefully only take a couple weeks. Then I send it out to beta readers, then I send out ARCs (advance review copies), then the book gets published. I'm thinking that I'll briefly have the book on pre-order while it's out with beta readers. The print book will take a little l

Some Super Not Fun News

Gah, I don’t know how to start this post. I love being real with you all, but I try not to get too real, if you know what I mean. There is a sh*tty side of this industry I’m in, and I try not to air too much of my dirty laundry. We all have enough of that in the real world, and that’s kinda the whole reason we read anyway. Books are waaaay cheaper an escape than a vacation. Unfortunately, now is one of those rare times where I have to get real-REAL with you. Alright. *deep breath* Let’s talk about plagiarism. Most of you are probably used to that term being thrown around in a classroom setting—write an essay, do some research, and oh, if you nab a line from someone else’s work and don’t properly cite it, you’re officially plagiarizing it. Well, you can plagiarize things besides essays. Things like covers. This morning I woke up to a barrage of messages pointing me to a Facebook post (several, actually), messages alerting me that whoever designed Pestilence’s co

Dark Harmony Cover Reveal and Blurb

Hi readers! So I've been getting oodles and oodles of messages, some excited, some panicked, some panic-excited about when Dark Harmony (The Bargainer #3) is set to release. I'm sure if you've been stalking this site or my social media you'll have noticed that there's no date. No date? Ahhhhhhhhh! You vile wench! You're never ever ever going to finish this series are you? To be serious for a moment, I'm getting the impression a lot of you are concerned for this book, which is fair because it's already been postponed six months--how much more waiting must I make you all endure? Good news is that I'm working on it eight hours a day, five days a week, e'ery week. It's just that the more I write this book, the longer it becomes. (I don't think Callie and Des want me to end their story!) So I'd say I'm about two-thirds of the way through it, but I could be under-balling that estimate because re: long book. I'm still not gi

Pestilence Playlist

I seriously almost forgot to post this. Bad author, bad, bad author. One of the things that I most enjoy sharing with you all (besides my books) is the music that inspires the books. So, for those of you who like a soundtrack to your novels, here's Pestilence's : Pestilence Playlist Oh, and in other news, Pestilence's audiobook is in the works (it'll be out in May), and the print version of Pestilence is already up on Amazon and other retailers. And, lastly, for my Bargainer fans, I'm back to writing Des and Callie! Whoop whoop! Happy reading, Laura

Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1) is Now Out!

It's ALIIIIIVE! I'm so freaking pumped to announce that Pestilence , the first book in my Four Horsemen series, is now out! You can find it here ! This is a new adult post-apocalyptic romance that stars one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse (eep!) and the girl that was (un)fortunate enough to meet him! I'll be sharing the playlist with you all super soon, and I'll be doing a Facebook Live video in another week or so to answer all things Pestilence related (and some things not Pestilence related). If you want to see it, make sure to check in on my Facebook page (which you can find right here ). Some quick extras: Yes, there will be print books of Pestilence . They should be ready to go by the end of this week if not sooner! Yes, there will also be an audiobook of Pestilence . It will take a couple of months to produce, so expect it to release mid May! Lastly, yes, I'm resuming work on Dark Harmony (for those of you interested in hearing updates on my Bar

Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1) is Available for Pre-order

Hey readers! The first book in my new adult, post-apocalyptic romance, Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1) is now available for pre-order. You can pre-order it here . To say I'm excited for this book is a vast understatement. To be honest, after I finished The Fallen World series (another post-apocalyptic series of mine), I was sad to close the door on the post-apocalyptic genre. But I was sure that I wouldn't be returning to the genre for quite some time. So imagine my surprise when, just two years later, another post-apocalyptic series idea wouldn't leave me alone. Pestilence is the first book in a four book series. That being said, it is a self-contained story, meaning that while the overarching story line of the Four Horsemen will continue on in the subsequent three books, this is the only story featuring Pestilence and Sara Burns. I can't wait to share the novel with you, but until then, scroll down for the cover, description! Hugs and happy reading, Laura P.S. If

Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1) Cover Reveal and Description

Hi readers, I'm so excited to finally share with you all the cover and description for Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1) ! For those of you who haven't heard the story, this book idea, like many of mine, has been sitting on my computer for years. This past fall, while I was in the midst of writing Dark Harmony (The Bargainer #3) , I was seized by the need to write Pestilence . Normally, I'm pretty good at ignoring Shiny New Idea Syndrome, but long story short, I didn't, and hence, Pestilence was born! So, some things about the book. One, it's the first book in a four book series that focuses on the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Two, it's new adult post-apocalyptic/fantasy, which means you'll get a little magic, a little skin, and a world a little bit different from our own. Three, it's an enemies-to-lovers book. I sorta have a weakness for these. In fact, all four of the books will most likely be enemies-to-lovers. Four, it's coming this March
