The Vanishing Girl Re-release!

Image
Not many authors get two book birthdays per novel, but in this case, I do! Today is the re-release day of The Vanishing Girl , the first novel in The Vanishing Girl Trilogy! For those of you unfamiliar with the book, here’s its description: Each night after Ember Pierce falls asleep, she disappears. She can teleport anywhere in the world: London, Paris, her crush’s bedroom, or wherever her dreams lead her. Ten minutes is all she gets, and once time’s up, she returns to her bed. It’s a secret she’s successf ully kept for the last five years. But now someone knows. A week after her eighteenth birthday, when frustratingly handsome Caden Hawthorne kidnaps her, delivers her to the government, and then disappears before her eyes, Ember realizes two things: One, she is not alone. And two, people like her—teleporters—are being used as weapons. Forced into a quasi-military training camp for teleporters, Ember discovers she has been paired—perhaps for life—with Caden, the boy who got

The Queen of All that Dies Playlist

Hi readers! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! I’ve finally figured out a thing or two about Spotify (*crawling out of my Stone Age cave*), and oh my god, I have been missing out! Anyway, I wanted to share with you all the playlist for The Queen of All that Dies ! For those of you who haven’t seen/heard/read the novel, you can check out more about it  here ! Enjoy! Hugs and happy reading! Laura

The Queen of All that Dies is Out Now!

So this morning I ’ ve been like a kid on Christmas (gleeful, acting like I ’ m hopped up on way too much sugar, and —okay— probably really immature). It ’ s been difficult to contain my excitement because my NA dystopian/post-apocalyptic novel,  The Queen of All thatDies , is finally live! Check it out here . All authors (wild generalization there, but work with me :) have these little lists in their head—which book was the most fun to write, which book got the widest buzz, which book resonated with readers the most. The Queen of All that Dies is the book that was hardest for me to write but also the one I’m proudest of. It took longer than most of my others to get down on paper, and I think I wrote a bit of my soul onto those pages when I penned it. (So if you ’ re ever looking to defeat me  …  horcrux #1 right  there.) As for the story itself … it’s dark and twisted—the world as we once knew it is sick, its people suffering. Amidst them all are two characters, one who is

The Forsaken Teaser #1

Image
So, for all you fans of The Unearthly series that have patiently waited for news on The Forsaken , I have the first teaser to share with you all today! Without further ado, here it is: The Forsaken Releases: March 15, 2015 Teaser #1 “Son of a demon!” This crap required a supernatural curse. I had fallen ass first into what looked like a mad scientist’s room—if that mad scientist happened to also be a practitioner of magic. Beakers connected to elaborate glass tubes bubbled, as did a cauldron that hovered over an open flame. I rolled off the open tomes and glass jars I’d fallen on only to topple off a table and onto the ground. As I did so, several vials tumbled with me—clinking against the floor. “And I’d always assumed sirens were graceful.” I moaned and rubbed my backside. “Some warning would’ve been nice,” I managed. “You’re lucky I don’t kill you on the spot. I could use some siren blood and a favor from the devil.” That jolted me to attention. I was on my fe
